Important Note: Automation also applies to all tasks you create with KiteSuite, including those created through the API, mobile apps, or web applications.
What You Will Need:
To create automation seamlessly with KiteSuite, please make sure you have an active account. Automation is supported in all active plans, including free plans, but there are different limits, so make sure you have an appropriate plan to fulfill your requirements.
Free Plan:
Supports 50 automations with 100 triggers each month.
Professional Plan:
Supports 500 automations with 1000 triggers each month.
Business Plan:
Supports unlimited automations with 5000 triggers each month; there is also an option to buy more triggers if needed.
Enterprise Plan:
Supports unlimited automations with 25000 triggers each month; there is also an option to buy more triggers if needed.
All automation limits will auto-reset on the 1st at 12:00 GMT every month. The workspace owner and admin will receive emails about automation usage reaching 90% and when usage is over 100%. Users with Business and Enterprise Plans have the option to purchase additional automation triggers.
The amount of automation activity recorded varies by plan:
Free Forever: 1 day
Unlimited: 1 day
Business: 30 days
Enterprise: 6 months
Enable Automation with KiteSuite:
In KiteSuite, the automation feature is available for each workspace. To navigate to the automation tab, please follow the below steps:
Go to Settings from the left navigation bar.
Select Automation from the top navigation.
Click on the "Add Automation" button to set a new automation condition.
To edit an automation, click on the "Edit" button on the page.
Add Automation:
From the Add Automation page, you can easily create different automations for your project, and all your created automations will be visible on this page. There is also an option to filter between active and inactive automations.
Create Automation (Set Conditions and Trigger Actions):
From the Create Automation page, you can create different recipes to automate your work progress. Set conditions from the left section, indicating when a particular option should work, and from the right section, set your trigger point for what activity you want to perform.
Automation related to Item and subtask functionality:
Automate repetitive items and subtask actions to ensure consistency and efficiency. For example, you can set up automations to change items to status based on specific criteria (when assignee added), or to update subtask statuses when the main task progresses. This ensures that all components of a project are always in sync. This action can be done for same project or different projects as per your preferences.
Automation Related to Sprint Functionality:
Now you can streamline your sprint planning and tracking with automation. Configure rules to automatically adjust sprint timelines, move tasks between sprints, or notify team members of upcoming deadlines, and more. This helps maintain momentum and keeps your sprints on track.
Automation Related to Documents Functionality:
Enhance document management by automating actions such as document approvals, version updates, and sharing. Set conditions for automatic document archiving or notifications when documents are updated, ensuring that your team always has access to the latest information.
Automation Related to Chat Functionality:
Boost communication efficiency with automation in chat. You can set up rules to automatically send reminders, alert team members of new updates, or archive conversations based on specific triggers. This keeps your chat interactions relevant and organized.
Automation Usages:
Track how your automation is being used with detailed reports. This allows you to monitor which automations are most effective and adjust them as needed to optimize performance. KiteSuite automation trigger and uses limits vary as per your selected plan.
