A Deep Dive into KiteSuite's project Import-Export Feature!

Import/export functionality allows users to migrate and share project and workspaces’ data between KiteSuite, Jira, Clickup, and other custom CSV files.

Import Project

To import data into the current open project in the workspace. There is an option for users to select whether to import or export file, once user select import it will show four options (KiteSuite, Jira, Clickup, CSV) from where and how to import data into the project. Upon selecting an appropriate file it will add all tasks into the project, all the added tasks will be visible in the sprints backlog screen.

Please follow the steps below to import a new project

1st Step

Select settings from the left menu bar, and from the setting screen select Import/Export.

2nd Step

Now, from the Import/Export page select Import from the top right corner.

3rd Step

Now, from the import options confirm your choice, how you like to import your data.

4th Step

Select a relevant file and click the import button from the bottom right.

Note: The select file should be appropriate, if the file is not correct it will show you an error message to upload the right file.

5th Step

After you successfully import the file it will show you the file details with Project name, platform where you are importing your data, items list, subtask list, project owner name, and data. Please check the below screenshot for more detail.

Congratulations! your project is successfully imported and all the item has added into the project’s backlog.

Export Project

To export data from the current open project in the workspace as CSV. There is an option for users to select whether to import or export file, upon clicking on export it will download the file on the users system as CSV.

To export your projects data you can simply click on the export button from project’s settings under import export. It will create a CSV file and save to your system’s local drive
