You should have an active account with Kitesuite; nevertheless the feature is supported with all plans including free trial.
The number of active whiteboards you can have at a time depends on the active plan you have.
Free Trial Period: During free trial period users can have a mix. Of 3 active whiteboards at a time in all projects.
Professional: With professional plans users can have a mix. Of 10 active whiteboards at a time in all projects.
Business or Enterprise: With business and enterprise plans users can have unlimited active whiteboards.
Note: Let’s say if user X purchased a professional plan with KiteSuite. Now X has created 10 projects. In this case, X can only create 10 boards, in a single project or different projects.
Step by Step Guideline to create a Whiteboard
From the project page, left menu select Whiteboard.
Create board: You can create a new board from scratch or start with our templates to set up a whiteboard.
Create/modify Whiteboard:
Objects: Create shapes, add text, sticky notes, images, and more with KiteSuite objects to effectively draw your ideas for better representation.
Customize design: Easily set custom colors, board backgrounds, fonts, and more to create an easy-to-understand and appealing design for your whiteboard.
Customize Whiteboard objects:
You can easily set the position of objects, alignment, text size, color, and more. Simply right-click on the selected object to access these options.
Adjust Board Size and Objects
Zoom-In and Zoom-Out:
Easily zoom in and out on your whiteboard for better clarity on the added objects.
Fit to Screen and Full Screen:
To view all added objects on a single screen, use the KiteSuite "Fit to Screen" feature. You can also use the full-screen feature to utilize the entire screen for better clarity on the board.
Undo and Redo:
To undo or redo an activity on the whiteboard, simply click on the icon or press (Ctrl+Z) (Ctrl+Y). For Mac users, use the Command key instead of the Ctrl key.
Connect objects: Users can easily connect one object to another to show relationships among objects by using connecting lines on the board.
Group and Ungroup objects: You can group objects together to collaborate as one, making it easier to move objects around and manage them more efficiently. To ungroup, simply select aby group and choose the ungroup option
Benefit of shortcut keys: Use KiteSuite shortcut keys to perform different activities on your board such as; delete objects, copy and paste (duplicate) objects, undo and redo actions, and more.
Share and Collaborate: Easily share or collaborate on a whiteboard with others. Different permissions are available to keep your whiteboard secure. Create the right permissions for your team and other members to easily share or access the board.
Private: With this permission, your board will be completely private. No one else can view or edit your board except you.
Project Access: With this permission, all your project team members can view your board, and their permissions will match their project permissions. For example, if a user is added as a viewer in the project, they will be able to view your whiteboard but cannot edit it. Users with edit access to the project will also be able to edit your whiteboard.
Public: Anyone with the link who has an account with KiteSuite can view or edit your whiteboard based on the shared permissions.
Also you can see all the collaborators in real time on your whiteboard and you have an option to show or hide their activities in real time.
Embed task or subtask: Easy embed task or subtask fields, easy search task by name and add on your board. You can easily update fields in real time directly from the board without navigating to the task page. Also users who do not have access to the project can view or edit required tasks in real time and monitor progress just using the whiteboard. Also you can navigate to task just by clicking on the view item button from your whiteboard.
Embed video link and images: Users can add images, or video links into the whiteboard and on clicking on the video thumbnail it will redirect users to the source page. The added link can be edited or deleted as per individual’s preference.
Search Board: Effortlessly find which whiteboard you are looking for with Kite Suites intuitive keyword-based search functionality. Just type in relevant keywords, and quickly locate specific boards. Simplify your workflow and enhance productivity with this powerful search feature.
Whiteboard Thumbnail: Each created whiteboard thumbnail will be shown a snapshot if you board (object, images, task, and more). And each time you will make changes to your whiteboard, the thumbnail will auto update.
Also, here you can update name and description, and can view whiteboard owner with create and update details.
